The USALI 12th Revised Edition Kickoff
Join us for a lively discussion on all things USALI 12th! From a brief overview of the changes to what hotels and vendors need to prepare for being USALI compliant.
Attendees will walk away with an overall understanding of the major changes in the USALI 12th Revised Edition to prepare for the January 1, 2026 launch date.
Agnes L DeFranco
Agnes is a Professor and Conrad Hilton Distinguished Chair at the University of Houston. During her tenure she has taken on various significant roles, serving as the Graduate Program Director, Associate Dean, and Interim Dean of the Hilton College, and also the Associate Vice President for Undergraduate Studies for the university. Agnes' passion in education has been celebrated through a number of teaching and research awards, with over 200 publications, nine textbooks, and a number of grants. Agnes is a global past president of HFTP and a Paragon Award recipient of HFTP.
Robert Mandelbaum
Robert is the Research Director at CBRE Hotels Research, based in Atlanta, where he leads Research Information Services, producing key industry reports like Trends® in the Hotel Industry and performance forecasts through the Hotel Horizons® model. With a hospitality career that began in 1983 at Holiday Inns and Pannell Kerr Forster, he has deep expertise in market analysis and financial feasibility. A graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, Robert serves on the Global Finance Committee—a joint initiative of the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AH&LA) and Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP)—which is responsible for preparing the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI). He is also a Global Board member of HFTP, recipient of its 2024 Paragon Award, a past Global President of the Cornell Hotel Society, a published author, guest lecturer, and frequent speaker at industry events.
