TOPIC: Fiber Optics and Its Current Use in Hotel Properties

Don Jensen has focused the majority of his professional career on delivering customized network and technology solutions to the lodging industry, approaching 30 years of experience. Don holds the distinction of a lifetime-certified MHS (Master Hotel Supplier) designation from the American Hotel and Lodging Association. While working for the Hospitality Division of Windstream (NYSE:WIN), Jensen consults daily with lodging customers throughout North America to establish advanced wireless networking platforms, guest and admin voice solutions, low voltage ITS platforms, and WAN links.

Always a consistent leader in sales volume and performance, Jensen attributes his success to technical expertise, strict adherence to the integrity of the transaction and project scope, and applying his extensive knowledge of the lodging business to provide guidance and value to his clients. Don is also very active within HTNG(Hotel Technology Next Generation), a lodging trade group focused on technology, and acts as Co-Chairperson of the “Fiber to the Room” workgroup. Before Windstream, Don held leadership positions in sales and operations at the Sprint Hospitality Group, Wayport, Assa Abloy/Vingcard, and Lorica Solutions. Don received his degree at the State University College of New York at Buffalo, Bachelor of Science in Business.

This month our chapter has an opportunity to give back to the community. With the upcoming holiday, the board has decided to support our neighbors in need of food by collecting canned good and cash donations through our charity partner City Square. Please help make a difference to those in need and bring canned goods or cash/check for City Square to our November chapter meeting.
